Biopolymer Network

The "German Biopolymer Network" organized by the Agency of Renewable Resources FNR (Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V.) is the official information and communication platform about bio-based materials and their applications for economy, science, politics and the public. Based on an action plan of the federal government concerning the use of bio-based raw materials, the aims of the network have been defined in supporting the use of bio-based materials and their applications by useful and sustainable means. This also includes the critical analysis of all up- and downstream processes, as well as superordinate economical, ecological and social aspects.

The biopolymer network is supported by an advisory board, acting as a consulting and stimulating panel. Between the 8 delegates from science, economy and politics, M-Base is represented in the advisory board by Dr. Erwin Baur.
