MCBase is the PC database version of the official CAMPUS merge program. It is installed on the customer's PC or PC network. MCBase enhances the designer's access to the CAMPUS data tremendously.
The new version MCBase 5.1 already comes with up-to-date data of all participating CAMPUS suppliers. It is data compatible with CAMPUS 5.1.
functionality identical to CAMPUS: - user friendly and efficient handling of material data
- define search profiles
- define and sort tables
- print tables and data sheets
- curve overlay
- scatter plots
database update
MCBase 5.1 features convenient online update check and automated database update that makes it even more easy to access the latest CAMPUS data. The online database update substitutes the conventional time consuming procedure of obtaining all supplier update packages separately.
additional functionality of MCBase standard version - search for substitute materials
- full text search
- producer independent curve overlay
- presentation of creep curves
ToolBox
An extended version of MCBase is delivered with a Toolbox module which includes: - a calculation program for snap fits and bending cases
- a calculation program for flow length in injection molding and for cooling times
- software for fitting the data in CAMPUS according to different materials laws, like:
- Viscosity according to Carreau (WLF and Arrhenius), PowerLaw and Cross WLF
- pvT according to several models
- creep according to Norton

individual extensions and interfaces
MCBase is extendable by additional, individual features and data interfaces. With these extra extensions an ideal basis for customized material information systems can be established. It is also possible to extend MCBase by including additional material properties. These can be edited by the user, while the original CAMPUS data remains unchanged.
individual data editing in MCBase
CAMPUS data is available to CAE programs using adequate data interfaces. For PC systems links can be made which allow interactive coupling with other Windows applications. CAMPUS contains a growing number of auxiliary features for designers (viscosity curves, stress-strain diagrams, etc.) which makes data interfaces to CAE-Software become more and more important. Such interfaces are available for many common systems utilized in the plastics industry. M-Base offers extensive consultation and individual analysis to integrate MCBase into existing information systems.
